02 — One idea, every format
One idea.
Every format.
The same creative idea rarely fits one shape. As you scroll, watch one composition move through the ratios a real campaign needs to cover.
-
Feed — 1:1
The starting composition — square, centred, built to hold up as a static thumbnail before it ever moves.
-
Instagram / Meta — 4:5
Taller and more vertical, giving the message more room in-feed without redesigning it from scratch.
-
Reels / TikTok — 9:16
Full-screen vertical, with hierarchy rebuilt for thumb-scroll speed and sound-off legibility.
-
YouTube / Web — 16:9
Wide and cinematic, for pre-roll, hero loops and anywhere the piece needs to sit on a landing page.
03 — Why Sozosei
Motion should feel like
your brand moving
Motion is easy to bolt on and hard to make feel inevitable. Here's what shapes how we approach it.
Identity-first motion
Animation is built from the client's visual system — typography, colour, graphic language and tone — rather than created independently.
Precision in every frame
Our approach draws on Japanese restraint and precision — timing, rhythm and movement are treated with the same care as typography and composition.
Designed for attention and action
Social and video motion considers hook, message hierarchy, pacing and call to action — while staying visually consistent with the brand it belongs to.
04 — How we work
From brief to
final frame
Every motion project follows the same five-stage process — understandable at a glance, whether or not you scroll slowly enough to watch the rail fill in.
-
Brief
Goals, platform, audience, message, available footage/assets and deliverable requirements.
-
Concept
Storyboard, style frames, pacing and motion direction are agreed before animation/production begins.
-
Animate
Full animation/editing production with a working preview for review.
-
Refine
Timing, pacing, transitions, messaging and visual details are refined.
-
Deliver
Final platform-ready exports in the required formats, aspect ratios and sizes.

FAQs
Either. We can animate from your existing footage and assets, or build entirely from illustration, typography and motion graphics if no footage exists — the right approach depends on the brief.
Timelines depend on length, complexity and number of formats needed. A short animated social ad typically moves faster than a full brand film — we confirm a specific timeline at the brief stage.
Yes. We review your existing logo and brand guidelines and design a motion treatment that stays consistent with the system already in place, rather than replacing it.
Delivery is according to your project and platform requirements — typically MP4, MOV, GIF, WebM or Lottie JSON where suitable, exported at the aspect ratios and sizes each destination needs.
Yes — though where no identity exists yet, we'd usually recommend starting with branding or logo design first, so the motion has a system to grow from rather than being designed in isolation.

Motion works best
as part of a system
Motion works best when it is part of a wider identity. A brand system gives movement something recognisable to build from; logo design creates a mark that can translate into motion; web design gives animated campaigns somewhere meaningful to land.
